The human metabolism is a dizzying tangle of biochemical pathways. I worked with the Stanford Biochemistry Department to illustrate a custom diagram that attempts to organize our metabolic pathways into a visual hierarchy of information. It seems we were successful - the National Board of Medical Examiners (NAMBI) is adopting this map as it's recommended study tool for Level 1 medical students.
